DESCRIPTION

She graduated from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia in Katowice and, after moving to the Netherlands in 1993, the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam.

Her feature debut “Nothing Personal” won six awards at the Locarno Film Festival (2009), including Best First Feature, Best Actress (Lotte Verbeek) and the FIPRESCI Prize. It became a Dutch art house hit and won the awards for Best Director and Best Film at the 2009 Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht. Her second feature film, “Code Blue” (2011) was selected to be screened in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival and distributed in 16 countries. Antoniak’s most recent film, “BEYOND WORDS” was presented at the festivals in Toronto and San Sebastian and will be screened at this year’s Two Riversides Festival.
