DESCRIPTION
The director deals with identity, connection with the place of birth and the place of living and the language. It is also an important film about the father and son relationship. The protagonist, a 28-year-old lawyer from Berlin, Michael is a Pole who is perfectly assimilated in German society. He uses impeccable German, he wears perfectly tailored suits. He consciously broke off contact with his country of origin and deliberately chose his new homeland. But can you cut yourself off from your roots irretrievably? Michael meets Stanisław, his 55 year old Polish father. Both men are actually strangers to each other. Men spend the weekend together, which leaves a strong emotional mark on Michael.

DIRECTOR
Urszula Antoniak (1968), director and screenwriter, based in the Netherlands since the beginning of her career. She graduated from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Department of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia and from the Nederlandse Film en Televisie Academie (NFTA) in Amsterdam. Her films have received a number of film awards, including the Locarno Film Festival Award and a nomination for the European Film Award for “Nothing Personal” (2009). In his subsequent movies, Antoniak talks about encounters with others, about multiculturalism, strangeness and the formation of human identity.FILMOGRAPHY
