DESCRIPTION
Two writers traveling by train to Hel tells us the story of a man and a woman. In front of the audience, they try to create a plot of the film script: a simple story about love. So we have a woman (Marta) and a man (Aleks) and a story of their accidental meeting during the first day of the holiday, on the Łódź Kaliska – Hel route. The film begins to be trivial, but it quickly becomes more complicated, because life, film, plot and circumstances become get tangled up in the telling of this seemingly straightforward tale. A sensational debut of Arkadiusz Jakubik as a director.

DIRECTOR
Arkadiusz Jakubik is an artist of multiple talents, he is an actor, director and screenwriter, musician. Frontman of the band Dr Misio. A member of the Polish Film Academy and the European Film Academy. As a graduate of the Academy of Theatre in Wrocław, he made his debut at the Warsaw Operetta. He performs on the stages of musical and impresario theatres, directs performances, writes musicals and radio dramas. Jakubik has also played in films including a few expressive parts in popular TV series as well as a few acclaimed supporting parts in feature films. Jakubik's role of a notary in the famous Wesele (Wedding, 2004) by Wojciech Smarzowski won him a nomination for the Polish Film Award Orzeł for “the best supporting actor”. However, Jakubik aims higher than that. At 2010 edition of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, he showed “The Simple Story About Love” and won the Independent Cinema Competition.FILMOGRAPHY
