DESCRIPTION

The Nixie is a short based on a ballade by the Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz. It is a romantic thriller interlacing the reality of contemporary world with a fabulous magic universe of wild nature, mist and lovers' elusive glances. This is a dramatic story of a young man's love for a nixie. Amidst the darkness of night, they meet on a lake shore. However, his pledge of love is put to a test.


DIRECTOR
The Bui Sisters (Mai and Julia Bui Ngoc) are an artistic duo. Together they create movies, video art and theater performances. Julia graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw , she currently teaches at the Warsaw Film School and is also the founder of the Dance School with Combat Welders. Mai graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology and Film and Television Academy in Warsaw. Now she runs the architectural office Bui-Pędowska Architekci.
