DESCRIPTION
Jacek loves heavy metal and his dog. He is outsider, but not a stranger in small community. But then his life is thrown badly off course by a terrible accident at work that completely disfigures him. Eagerly followed by the Polish media, Jacek becomes the first person in the country to receive a face transplant. He may be celebrated as a national hero and martyr, but he no longer recognizes himself in the mirror. What he desires most is just to have his simple life back.

Małgorzata Szumowska (1973) is among the most famous female directors of the young generation. She made several documentaries and short films and 7 full length features. Małgorzata Szumowska has received numerous awards at international and Polish film festivals.
