The „Lexicon of Reflexions” is an debut cartoon-short-film that was create as a Diploma in the animation class of Prof. Hieronim Neumann in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. It’s made in the traditional time-lapse technique – black ink drawings on white paper. Thanks to the simplicity of the realisation, the language is very graphical and the project could be do by one author individual. The composition of the film is based on an lexicon – short humorous scenes shows personal observations and reflexions about over a dozen watchwords from „A jak agresja” (aggression) to „Z jak zmagania” (struggle). All of them refer to different psychical and intellectual states, that everybody knows from experience. The starring characters are varied – people, animals, creatures and even objects. The interpretation of particular watchwords is very personal and surprising. The film was presented on the Coming Out! – exhibition of the best Diplomas of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and on the Short Film Corner during the Festival in Cannes. ‚Lexicon of Reflexions’ had its international debut being nominated for Premiers Plans Festival in Angers (France).
